Employing drones in rural areas are mandatory for early defibrillation to people that could be exposed to out of hospital cardiac dysrhythmia. In our project we are aiming to employ and automated external defibrillator (AED) delivery using drones through 5G connection.

Automation of the delivery process will make the mission faster, which will increase the chances of saving the patient when time is the most important part in this task, 5G employment will help to have a fast and secure connection when radio connection is not available any more due to trees, houses, or even mountains.

Having 2 type of communication with the drone decrease the possibility of losing the connection with the drone, so we will always be aware of the surrounding situation by getting a smooth high resolution video streaming and telemetry data to control the drone precisely once the drone has reached the preplanned location where the patient is.

To reach this point, we start to build the hardware of our drone in house, which most over the shelf drones will not reach us to the optimal results that we need, especially the automation part.
We build the hardware in a manner that will be wind and water resistance, so the drone will be always be able to deliver the AED in any emergency situation.

The drone is built with the maximum safety, which will automatically take the safest action to do in any situation that could happen, which makes the operation fully safe when the drone is flying in its mission. The drone will be aware of the surrounding manned and unmanned aerial vehicle and will avoid it once its closer to it, it will be equipped with obstacle avoidance sensors to avoid any prospected crash with any obstacle on the way and it will also be equipped with an parachute for the most sever situation so it can land safely on the ground and avoid any serious injuries.
